How To Create Your Own Reports

Reports based on the data captured by the TEALwatch® Power Monitor can be easily generated. The data files created by and stored in the TEALwatch® are saved as generic *.DAT files, which can be saved to a local drive and then opened with common spreadsheet programs, such as Microsoft Excel or Lotus 123. The data files can then be turned into a XY plot to view the waveform data. This graphical data can then be easily used to create your own report. You do not need proprietary software, and you own the data.

To assist with report creation and waveform viewing, TEAL is offering a freeware software file, the TEALwatch® Viewer. The TEALwatch® Viewer is a macro-based Excel spreadsheet that simplifies the importing and viewing of waveform data generated by the TEALwatch®. After saving a data file or files from a TEALwatch® power monitor to your local hard-drive or network, the TEALwatch® Viewer can be used to open, format, and graphically represent the waveform data contained in the downloaded TEALwatch® files.

NOTE: When the Viewer is opening, you must select "ENABLE MACROS" to allow the Viewer to use it's built-in macro programming to automatically format data files. Most anti-virus software disables the Excel Macro function, but it must be enabled to use the Viewer. You may need to change your security settings under the TOOLS menu of Excel, select MACROS, and set your security setting to the mid-level and ENABLE MACROS.

NOTE: In the event that any of the Products supplied by the Supplier (TEAL Electronics Corporation) include Software, Supplier agrees that the Customer shall have a perpetual, royalty free, world-wide license to use such Software when used with TEAL authorized hardware. TEAL reserves the right to request a fee for software upgrades that would add features or functionality to the original software. For the avoidance of doubt, any license granted pursuant to this clause shall continue notwithstanding termination of this agreement.
