Is More Power Conditioning Needed?How Do I Know If I Need More Power Conditioning? The typical TEAL PDU, PCDU, or Power Subsystem will often provide quite a bit of power conditioning and protection, but it does not correct every type of power quality event that you may encounter. If your system is having lock-ups or intermittent operation, or perhaps even failure of subsystems, it may be related to power. The TEALwatch® is a great tool to use to be able to correlate a system issue with a recorded power "event". If you captured a power Event such as a Voltage Sag or Swell or Transient at the same time that your system had the problem, the problem may have been caused by the power event. For sites or installations with chronic power issues (such a low mains voltages, brown-outs, etc), you may need to increase the level of your power conditioning. You may need to add a dual-conversion voltage regulator, such as the TEALtrak® Voltage Regulator, or perhaps an integrated UPS system.
