TEALwatch® Custom Options

The TEALwatch is a flexible Power Monitor platform. It was designed with a standard Ethernet interface and requires a 5-wire WYE connection (as the Voltage is measured from Line to Neutral). However, other configurations may be available for you application.

Options Include:

1. The 4-wire DELTA input option, with connections for the 3 phase voltages (Line to Line), and Ground. Please contact the TEAL Marketing Department for availability and further details.

2. Although Ethernet 10base-T is standard for data transfer to and from the TEALwatch®, alternate and custom interfaces are available through optional daughter-card expansion boards. While most users will utilize the standard eithernet port, the TEALwatch® can also make use of a customizable daughter control board for extensive expandability. Alternate interfaces require additional hardware as well as firmware changes. Please contact the TEAL Marketing Department for availability and further information.

3. Current Monitoring - The TEALwatch® power monitor is an 8-channel monitor, sampling at a rate of 128 samples per cycle. The first 3 channels are used for monitoring Voltages. The next 3 channels are allocated and dedicated for Currents. The Current Monitoring option requires additional hardware as well as a firmware update (no changes needed, just an update to add the 3 channels to the data collection). Please note that the Current channels are not used for triggering, only monitoring. Please contact the TEAL Marketing Department for availability and further information.

4. Additional Analog or Digital Monitoring - The TEALwatch® power monitor is an 8-channel monitor, sampling at a rate of 128 samples per cycle. The first 3 channels are used for monitoring Voltages. The next 3 channels are allocated and dedicated for Currents. The final 2 channels are generic and not dedicated. Use of the final 2 channels for items such as temperature, humidity, etc, requires additional hardware as well as a firmware changes. Please note that the final 2 channels are not used for triggering, only monitoring. Also note that the final two channels can be monitored via a multiplexed interface for expansion to more than the two channels, but with a more limited sampling rate.
